Nazeera Rape Case
Nazeera Rape Case (Special Case No. 448 of 2018)
The victim is a 30 year old women who lives with her husband in Zaman Town. The accused in the present case is her brother-in-law, who was charged with committing rape on her while her husband, being a daily wage laborer, was out for work. The accused, as per the contents of the FIR, handed her Rs. 250 afterwards in an attempt to buy her silence.
In judgement by Javed Iqbal, Judge concluded that the prosecution had failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt and hence the accused was acquitted.
