Tahira Case

Facts: The victim is only 7 years-old; she lived in Orangi town with her family. The accused belonged to the same area. It so happened that the victim was playing in the porch at her home with younger sister,  when the accused came in her porch and when the victim’s sibling went inside her home, the accused called her, and then forcibly took her inside his home and attempted rape and also threatened her.

Judgement: Xth ADSJ West Irshad Hussain sentenced Abdul Wadood to a three-year imprisonment for offences punishable under sections 376 and 511 of the PPC and imposed a fine of Rs100,000. FIR No. 228/18 had been registered at the Pirabad police station.
